Team Work - the heart of PHC
Our team is at the heart of the work we do. Comprised of a vibrant mix of registered and retired nurses, and experienced and new carers, our team’s expertise spans a broad range of knowledge, skills, and experiences. We all work together, helping each other to create an exceptional level of high-quality care for our clients and each other. Caring for our teammates is just as important as our clients, and our high standard and kind ethics create an enjoyable, safe place for our team. When we thrive, we can help others to do the same.
I strongly believe giving needs to come from a place of strength and overflow. We will have more impact in supporting our community when we are healthy and strong ourselves. Nurses can thrive in their workplace. Carers can enjoy their work and have a great work-life balance. It is my goal to promote healthy care practices.
Our team has a registered nurse they can call 24/7 and a manager they can call at any time, day or night. We create weekly opportunities to meet, socialise, and get together regularly for training. We have a friendly and nurturing team culture that we are all very proud of.
A 'gold standard' care policy
Being part of the PHC team is an honour we all take seriously. It is a privilege to be invited into your home, and we have a 'gold standard' care policy to ensure your care is of a high standard. Most of our team have been recommended by other staff or friends. We maintain a strict recruitment policy to protect the values of kindness and integrity that we choose to work by. If you have one of us in your home, you have the support of us all.
Registered nurses
It is my goal to provide a safe and nurturing working environment for Registered Nurses. My greatest inspiration has been watching these beautiful humans give to others over and over again. Always going above and beyond. Sadly, their workplace wellbeing is threatened by the depravity of our healthcare crisis on a national level. I believe it can be different. All of the Registered nurses who work with PHC will be protected from burnout and neglect. We honour these community commandos, for without them, we will be lost. We are creating a safe place for nurses to receive support and a gentle work life balance.
Care staff
These lovely souls bring joy to our team daily. Some have had a career in nursing and want a gentle work/life balance, continuing to do the work they love. This provides an effective mentoring opportunity for our newer carers. We have many different levels of skill between us, and learning opportunities are constantly being created. From a gentle cuppa to sensitive dementia care and palliative care, our team can provide you with a quality plan you can rest assured is beneficial for your loved ones.
